If you want to play tournament poker, it’s a great idea to download free poker on the Internet. There is one big MTT leaderboard and three smaller SnG leaderboards, and there is cash to be won on each leaderboard.

Like on the other best US poker sites, you will be ranked based on a points total. Players get leaderboard points depending on where they place in a tournament and the tournament’s prize pool. The same formula is used for both MTTs and SnGs.

Like many of the best Mac poker sites, the site has split the MTT leaderboard into weekly, monthly, and yearly divisions. Your top 10 MTT results are taken into account for the weekly leaderboard, and first place receives $1,000 cash. The monthly leaderboard takes your best 20 results, and there is a $14,000 prize pool for the top 10. Finishing in first place would net you $6,500. Lastly, the yearly leaderboard takes your top 100 results, just like the PokerStars Bonus code. The top 50 players get entered into an exclusive $36k freeroll. Cash prizes are awarded to the top 10. If you feel inexperienced on Mac Poker sites, it might be wise to give SnG leaderboards a shot first. They are more friendly to new players since there are 3 separate divisions for different buy-in amounts. The Diamond division is for buy-ins less than $20. The total weekly prize pool for Diamond is $1.5k and the prize pool for the month is $5k. If you play between $21 and $50 buy-ins, you fall into the Heart division. The Heart division has $3,000 weekly and $7,000 monthly. If you are so serious about poker that you quit playing Internet slots, you might be the perfect candidate for winning the Spade division for stakes over $51. This division awards $6,000 every week and $10,000 every month.
